My brother in law and sister in law are counting their blessings this Christmas season. It was around 11pm December 23rd when their chimney in their mobile home caught fire. They were able to get everyone out, themselves, their 3 children and my mother in law. They call it the Christmas they will never forget.
When we were called that night we prayed and thought that it was a total loss for the trailer, because they usually just burn up quickly. The next morning we called and the only damage was to the roof, the living room and their girls' bedrooms, because of the firemen poking holes in walls to assure the fire was out.
The reason the firemen said it didn't spread was that there was so much insulation in the roof and ceiling it suffocated the flames. We, however, give thanks to God for his providential care.
There were around 20 people or so who showed up and started fixing the trusses, roof and sheet rock, it was a major blessing to them and they are very thankful. While it is not finished yet, they are grateful and thanking God and others for sustaining their lives and property.

It was such an inspiration to hear of a good ending to a potentially very bad situation. With so much bad news and tragedies we wanted to spread some good news and their story. They are praising God and thanking Him for His grace and mercies.
Psalms 100:4 " Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name."
