Home Schooling Rights Being Fired Upon, Yet Again: Next Time It May Be You

If you educate your children at home news about rights being fired upon is not entirely new, but the manner in which this latest attempt to thwart the rights of parents and strip away their power to educate their children is. Even if you don't educate your children at home this newest attempt at taking away parental rights is somewhat startling.
It started as a court case in Mississippi where a judge decided his own court case and verdict to have the names of all homeschooling children in his district sent to him and truancy officers. Read more here: http://www.hslda.org/docs/media/2011/201104060.asp.
What is involved is much more than the rights of educating your children at home; the implications that World Net Daily(WND) put forth is a very true sounding call of alarm to wake people up that may have not been paying any attention to what has been going on.

"WND said An attorney for the group(HSLDA), James Mason, told WND that in the years he has worked with homeschool issues, he never before has seen such an order.
"It's a very chilling prospect," he said. "The plain fact is if judges start behaving this way – [targeted could be] people who attend churches or synagogues [or other groups]."
"That would have a chilling effect on freedom of association, and the exercise of other freedoms," he said.
A judge in a similar order could demand the names of patriot organizations, tea party groups, Democrat groups, GOP groups or even labor, teacher or parent groups.""

It is amazing the attempts people are taking to strip individual liberties from people. My thanks and prayers go out to The Home School Legal Defense Association(HSLDA) for their undying efforts to protect parental rights around the world. We are proud members of HSLDA and have been for years, the cost of joining has well paid for itself, and knowing that we are helping others in the same area(ie. protecting parental rights) lets us have hope that we can help to raise a generation of children that will fight to protect our individual rights and freedoms. It is $10 a month well invested in for our children's future and ours. You can learn more about HSLDA here: About HSLDA
and join them in the fight for parental rights here:membership application: HSLDA.
Thank You HSLDA for fighting on our behalf for over 25 years!

I also thank Joseph Farah and World Net Daily for having the courage to publish true unbiased news since 1997. Learn more about WND here:http://www.wnd.com/About%20WND.

HSLDA released this morning that they were able to put a stay on the judges order through the Mississippi Supreme Court System. http://www.hslda.org/hs/state/ms/201104070.asp
It is a powerful reminder of how we need to be watchmen for ourselves and others
1Th 5:6  "Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober."
1Pe 5:8,9  "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."

I am extremely thankful for all those who are willing to risk being exposed in the public eye and help in the fight for individual rights. It is a battle we are facing, a spiritual and physical battle that can only be fought through prayer and diligence to act in protecting the rights of others.

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
